Daily Market Report – June 10, 2026

The global stock markets trended weaker today. The S&P 500 (SPX) lost 0.99% and was quoted at 7313 points. The Nasdaq 100 (NDX) fell by 1.42% to 28670 points, and the Dow Jones (DJI) dropped by 1.24% to 50243 points. In Europe, the DAX (DAX) recorded a decline of 0.97% to 24195 points, the Euro Stoxx 50 (SX5E) decreased by 0.66% to 6010 points, and the Stoxx Europe 600 (SXXP) (STOXX) lost 0.08% and ended trading at 618 points. In contrast, the FTSE 100 (FTSE) rose by 0.27% to 10255 points.

In individual stocks, SK Hynix (000660) recorded a decline of 7.54% to 2,048,000 KRW. Shares of Qualcomm (QCOM) fell by 6.67% and closed at 191.72 USD. Samsung Electronics (005930) lost 6.06% in value and was quoted at the close of trading at 302,500 KRW. Caterpillar (CAT) dropped by 5.87% to a price of 861 USD. GE Vernova (GEV) decreased by 5.85% to 866.30 USD. The broader declines in technology stocks were reflected in the performance of SoftBank (9984), whose price fell by over 8%.

The bond markets remained under pressure. The US 10-year yield (US10Y) rose by 0.18% to 4.54%, and the US 30-year yield (US30Y) increased by 0.06% to 5.01%. In the commodities market, the price of WTI crude oil (CL1!) rose by 3.19% to 91.01 USD per barrel, while gold (XAUUSD) fell by 2.71% to 4144.60 USD per ounce. China began to tap its commercial oil reserves to cushion the impact of shocks in the Gulf on the oil market. The Bank of Canada (BOC) kept its key interest rates unchanged. The governor of the Bank of Japan (BOJ), Kazuo Ueda, was hospitalized.
