Markets

The S&P 500 (SPX) fell 0.38 percent to 7,719 points, while the Nasdaq 100 (NDX) rose 0.21 percent to 29,544 points. The Dow Jones (DJI) lost 0.51 percent to 53,414 points. The DAX (DAX) closed nearly unchanged at 26,046 points. In Asia, the Hang Seng (HSI) advanced 1.74 percent to 25,651 points. Gold (GOLD) decreased by 1.39 percent to $4,476.60.

Company

Hon Hai Precision (2317) increased its monthly revenue by 52 percent due to demand for AI servers. KLA (KLAC) gained 7.32 percent to $185.60. Micron Technology (MU) rose by 6.10 percent to $1,016.59. Lam Research (LRCX) climbed by 5.12 percent to $307.65.

Leonardo (LDO) aims to use its new unit in Kyiv as a starting point for partnerships, investments, and potential acquisitions in the Ukrainian military technology sector. Volkswagen (VOW3) agreed on the restructuring of the group, thereby avoiding an open confrontation over the transformation. Henkel (HEN3) indicated further acquisitions to strengthen its business, but also referred to the pressure from higher energy and raw material costs.

Uber (UBER) is increasingly aligning its strategy between driver-based services and robotaxis to position itself as an independent platform. Tesla (TSLA) lost 5.92 percent to $354.08. Netflix (NFLX) declined by 5.35 percent to $78.25.

Jefferies (JEF) came under scrutiny due to a fund engagement of 500 million dollars related to another alleged accounting fraud. Ryanair (RYA) reduced its winter offerings, thereby decreasing capacity during a seasonally low-profit period.

Macroeconomics

According to White House, the US government reaffirmed its claim for greater influence in Greenland. Ahead of the visit of the President of the European Commission, the initiative brings Arctic security, resource, and trade issues back to the forefront. Japan reported progress in implementing a $550 billion investment initiative agreed upon with the United States, which is part of the bilateral trade agreement. The Hong Kong government announced in its first five-year plan that it will utilize the offshore yuan more extensively and expand cross-border investments with mainland China.
