Hopes for diplomatic progress in the Iran conflict and constructive signals ahead of the meeting between the Presidents of the United States and China led the S&P 500 (SPX) to rise by 1.36 percent to 7,755 points and the Nasdaq 100 (NDX) to increase by 2.52 percent to 30,392 points. The Dow Jones (DJI) closed 0.62 percent higher at 52,003 points. The DAX (DAX) gained 1.07 percent to 25,575 points. The yield on ten-year US Treasury bonds (US10Y) fell by 4.7 basis points to 4.95 percent. Brent crude oil (UKOIL) decreased by 3.99 percent to $95.33 per barrel.

Company

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) gained 9.34 percent to $612.09 in light of the renewed demand for AI chip stocks. In the same industry environment, Intel (INTC) rose 13.29 percent to $123.04. Qualcomm (QCOM) increased by 7.94 percent to $191.83. Despite the suspension of its AI assistant Muse on a competitor's trading platform, Meta Platforms (META) gained 9.57 percent to $728.92.

SoftBank (9984) reportedly prepared extensive bond financing for its investment in OpenAI. Microsoft (MSFT) emerged as one of the two key buyers of contracted computing capacity from the data center operator Nscale. Alphabet (GOOGL) introduced new AI-capable notebooks. At the same time, the Irish regulator imposed a fine on the company for the processing of location data. Accenture (ACN) agreed with Anthropic on security tests for advanced AI models.

Paramount Skydance (PSKY) reportedly reached an agreement with several US states, thereby removing a legal obstacle for the planned acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. Novo Nordisk (NVO) lost 8.43 percent to $39.59 after more concrete restructuring measures were absent. Volkswagen (VOW3) came into focus following a profit warning and the announced exit from a European blue-chip index. Société Générale (GLE) is aligning its offerings more towards competition with digital financial providers. AppLovin (APP) gained 5.88 percent to 326.17 dollars.
