The S&P 500 (SPX) closed 0.91 percent higher at 7,511 points. The Nasdaq 100 (NDX) rose by 1.92 percent to 29,155 points. The Dow Jones (DJI) gained 0.95 percent to 52,329 points, while the DAX (DAX) increased by 0.66 percent to 25,011 points. Following the recovery of technology stocks, the Nikkei 225 (NI225) closed 3.26 percent higher at 66,232 points. Brent crude oil (UKOIL) became more expensive by 2.11 percent to $91.10 due to attacks on tankers and threats against shipping in the Red Sea.

Nvidia (NVDA) presented its Vera processor architecture for AI systems, intensifying the competition for data center processors. Intel (INTC) gained 7.63 percent to $104.47 after confirming further job cuts and restructuring its data center division. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) rose 7.15 percent to $539.58 due to strong demand for semiconductor values.

Micron Technology (MU) rose by 12.82 percent during the industry rally to $976.42. Applied Materials (AMAT) gained 8.47 percent to $570.21. Lam Research (LRCX) increased by 5.01 percent to $322.14. Samsung Electronics (005930) became more expensive by 6.15 percent to 259,000 Won after the introduction of an AI-powered health assistant.

Novo Nordisk (NVO) sued Eli Lilly over allegedly misleading comparative advertising for weight loss medications. Eli Lilly (LLY) now faces a legal dispute regarding the efficacy data used in the competitive market for GLP-1 drugs.

Boeing (BA) prepared the next development step for narrow-body aircraft, although airlines have not yet pushed for a new generation of models. Airbus (AIR) faces the same investment decision after recent delivery figures reduced the Europeans' lead over their American competitor. Volkswagen (VOW3) is advancing hybrid variants for the Golf and T-Roc. This responds to the changing demand for combustion engines and pure electric cars. Macroeconomics According to the White House, the United States and Canada want to accelerate their trade talks before the announced tariffs of 50 percent on a broad range of Canadian goods take effect. At the same time, the White House did not anticipate short-term talks with Iran in light of the ongoing attacks and the threat to shipping in the Red Sea. According to the ECB, banks in the euro area tightened their lending standards for corporate loans. This further limits the financing of the real economy.
